The boy in this story died over the weekend. The rain proved to be too much, leaving unfavorable road conditions.
I haven't seen him in years, but when I contacted him a few months ago about finding a job at his company, he was all too happy to help the best he could. That was the kind of person he was. He loved his dog more than I've seen anybody love anything.
It sucks losing someone you laughed with. But then again, I haven't seen him in years. MamaBear, I can't imagine what you and your close-knit circle of friends are going through.
Here's to Phil.

How tragic! I'm so sorry for your (and their...) loss. :o(
It still hits you even if you haven't seen him in a long time. One of my exes that I dated for like a week when I was 15 died recently and even though he was a douchebag it still got to me a bit. It's this kind of stuff that really makes you realize your mortality.
It sucks so bad that sucking doesn't begin to cover it. I've dipped my toe into the waters of acceptance, but I keep careening through anger and grief. Many of the friends are still spending quality time in denial as well. Really, we all just want him back; it's not going to happen, though.
I'm so sorry, for both of your losses. :(
Oh, I am so sorry.
Just sending you a hug. I'm sorry. x
Sarah & MamaBear - You are both in my thoughts today as you deal with your loss. Losing someone close, or someone that meant something to you, is a difficult process that I'm dealing with now, as well. It's certainly not an easy time.
